Citing ‘crippling’ restrictions, some bowling centers still closed despite OK to reopen

Canton Township’s massive 60-lane Super Bowl Lanes bowling venue was so quiet Wednesday afternoon, you could have heard a pin drop.

Unfortunately for owner Bill Diamond and many other bowling center operators in Michigan, bowling pins haven’t dropped in their venues since early November, despite Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s Dec. 18 announcement that allowed lanes to reopen Dec. 21 with restrictions in place.
